ABQ’s Top 5 Jag Jeans Beauties at the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Fashion Show
In my previous post I told you how impressed I was by the overall performance of Contestant #10 Pia Wurtzbach in the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Fashion Show. Click here to read about it. The show is divided into two segments: the Jag Jeans show and the National Costume competition. This article will focus on the Jag show and the girls whom I felt really delivered.
My Top Choice for Jag Jeans:
Contestant #10 Pia Wurtzbach
In last year’s Jag Jeans show I clearly remember just how scary-fierce Pia was. She came out on stage looking hungry for the crown. That might have been her undoing in 2014 – being too upfront and unapologetic.
This year she has dialed down that hunger and tempered her fierceness. Instead of roiling like a pool of lava, she is simmering under – the heat is there but she’s not letting it boil over. I personally think that this approach is so much better. Because she is not as scary as last year, you see more of her sexiness. And wow, she is indeed S-E-X-X-Y … just look at that pout in the photo above!

MY NEXT 4 FAVORITES IN JAG JEANS:
Contestant #11 Janicel Lubina
Now before you read my next few sentences, I want you to know that I’ll be talking about a body part that you might not be comfortable reading about. In that case stop reading now and move on to the next girl.
I also want you to know that as I discuss this body part, I am talking about it with clinical admiration and a lot of respect. Walang malisya kumbaga. Now that that’s clear, I shall continue:
Gosh, I’m not sure which part of Janicel Lubina is sexier; the back or the front! When she came out in her short short shorts, I was like – wow! But when she turned her back to us I was like BAZINGA-WOW!
Someone once told me that the Tagalog word for the smile of one’s butt is ‘kuyangyang’. (Can anyone confirm if that’s true?) Anyway it seems like some girls have smiles in the front AND back!
I’m so jealous; what a beautiful set of glutes this girl has. No matter how many squats or lunges I do, my butt likes to lay dormant (altho my hubby will dispute that. He thinks my butt is cute.) Anyway… those long legs of Janicel paired with her sexy derriere plus her appealing walk knocked me out like a Pacman punch.
Contestant #21 Alaiza Flor Malinao
Another leggy lass makes it into my Top 5 favorites in the Jag Jeans segment. Alaiza Flor Malinao is a first-timer in Bb. Pilipinas and a newbie in National level beauty contests compared to everyone in this Top 5 list. But she is a threat to the veterans with her chameleon-like beauty, long flowing legs and burnished skin tone. The thing I love about her is no matter how you style her, Alaiza retains that sexy Asian look.
Contestant #28 Hannah Ruth Sison
Bravo Hannah! Loved your styling, your walk and your mesmerizing smile! If you keep it at this level, you might just win a crown. Your performance here in the Fashion Show was better than the Press Presentation. As long as you keep improving then I see bright things for you…
Contestant #8 Kimverlyn Suiza
I don’t know why but Contestant #8 Kimverlyn Suiza is often styled with a high bun. She looks elegant that way but… it doesn’t make her look sexy. Like in the press presentation she was the only one (if remember right) who came out in a high bun. Di ko type masyado for her kind of beauty.
So when I saw her with her lovely dark tresses tumbling down one of her equally lovely shoulders I remembered why I was extremely upset when she didn’t even enter the Top 15 in Bb. Pilipinas last year (2014).
Anyway, I couldn’t stop clapping when Kim showed off her length (and lengthy tresses) in her Jag Jeans outfit. Worthy of a Harley Davidson.
Other girls I liked in the Jag Jeans segment:
Contestant #12 Kylie Verzosa
Kylie Verzosa was a lovely surprise! Like I just opened a Christmas gift and found a luscious Barbie Doll inside the box. But there is one thing I want Kylie to work on – her smile. When she smiles, she kind of loses the mystery. I don’t know how to explain it better…. but I think Kylie will benefit from learning how to smile like the top winners in Miss Universe.
With that said, I do love it when she isn’t smiling or when she pouts, just like in the photo above. Blistering HOT!
Though I thought her performance and styling were much better in the Press Presentation, Christi Lynn McGarry still rocked in the Jag Jeans segment. I don’t know why but she makes me think of Britney Spears. Does anyone get the same feeling?
Contestant #1 Samantha Barbara Balbin
It’s not easy being Contestant #1. By the time the last girl comes out, you’re long forgotten. But Bb. Pilipinas traditionally places a gorgeous face in the front of the line to avoid that situation. Thus, we have a very pretty Contestant #1 this year. And if Bb. Pilipinas had an ‘artistahin award’ Contestant #1 Samantha Barbara Balbin would certainly get my vote for the prize.
Contestant #29 Nancy Lee Leonard
Ooooh just look at how her hips flare out from her tight corset of abs. Loved her look… and that little bonnet on her head was the perfect touch. Nancy Lee Leonard also has a brilliant smile that can engage you even if you’re seated at the back of the room.
Contestant #34 Teresita Sen “Wynwyn” Marquez
One of the best walkers in Bb. Pilipinas batch 2015 Teresita Sen ‘Wynwyn’ Marquez is creating waves in the pageant world because of her brave leap from acting to pageants. But IMHO she has been able to successfully morph from one world to another. Her physique reminds me of the tight musculature Ariella Arida had when she competed in Miss Universe. And her beauty somehow reminds me of Imee Marcos.
I can imagine the kind of threat Wynwyn Marquez poses to the other contestants with the heritage she bears – she is the daughter of one of the most beautiful faces in Philippine cinema, Alma Moreno… and the niece of one of our top beauty queens, Melanie Marquez. And on her own, Wynwyn had led a successful TV and movie career. Formidable INDEED!
