Pia Wurtzbach: ABQ’s Over-all Top Performer in the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Fashion Show
In a stellar display of consistency, Binibini #10 Pia Wurtzbach impressed this blogger in both the Jag Jeans segment and the National Costume competition which were presented at the annual Bb. Pilipinas fashion show held at the Araneta Coliseum last February 27, 2015.
It was a far cry from her performance at the Press Presentation – I felt she was too tame there, too laid back and thus was eclipsed by many others. I know it is her third try in Bb. Pilipinas and most 3-peaters take the chillax approach but she shouldn’t fall into the danger of being too calm. There’s a fire burning in this girl and she has to let some of it out. And a good balance of fire and chill defined her performance at the fashion show.
My opinion was validated when she was included in the Top 5 Binibinis in the National Costume competition. And I think she deserves to win the honor of Best in National Costume come coronation night on March 15, 2015.
Loving the pout on Pia Wurtzbach! She looked more luscious than ever as she strode down the catwalk in her Jag Jeans. Having been a Bb. Pilipinas alumna twice, Pia’s following has steadily grown so it was no surprise to me that she was one of the Binibinis who got the most applause.
I also like her body (in jeans) this year better than last year. She is more fit and I like the contour of her abs. These jeans also fit her really well. Perhaps its the choice of jeans and top that were better than last year’s outfit.
Pia doesn’t need complicated styling to stand out. Look at how simple her hair is here. Even her smile and demeanor are elegant and stress-free. This Albert Andrada gown also suited her to a tee. Although I find the ruffled tail a little too busy, Pia carried it brilliantly.
Looking at her photos above, I will say it again: Pia Wurtzbach deserves to win the Best in National Costume award. No other girl came close to her both in beauty of costume and the pasarela. That’s just the way I see it… let’s see if I get it right when the winner is announced on March 15, 2015.
Her rivals for the Best in National Costume (below) are L-R: #29 Nancy Leonard, #27 Ina Dominica Guerrero, #34 Wynwyn Marquez and on the far right, #25 Rogelie Catacutan.
